Abstract

Integrated Waste Resource Management (IWRM)
is a comprehensive approach to managing waste by combining
reduction, reuse, recycling, resource recovery, and safe disposal
methods. With rapid urbanization, industrialization, and
population growth, waste generation has reached critical levels
globally, posing severe environmental, social, and economic
challenges. IWRM focuses on minimizing waste generation at
the source, improving segregation techniques, utilizing
advanced treatment methods such as composting, anaerobic
digestion, and waste-to-energy technologies, and promoting
circular economy principles.
