Data Sharing Policy
International Journal of Dental Science and Oral Health encourages authors to make the data behind their findings available so that others can check and build on the work.
- Every research article includes a Data Availability statement saying where the data can be found, or why they cannot be shared.
- Authors are encouraged to deposit data in a recognised public repository and cite it in the article.
- Where data cannot be made public for reasons of privacy, law or ownership, authors explain the restriction and how others may request access.
- Data involving people must be de-identified and shared only within the limits of the consent given.
- Editors and reviewers may ask to see the underlying data during review.
For data involving people, see also Ethical Approvals and Informed Consent.
