Data Sharing Policy
International Journal of E-Commerce and Information Systems encourages authors to make the data behind their findings available so that others can check and build on the work.
- Every research article includes a Data Availability statement saying where the data can be found, or why they cannot be shared.
- Authors are encouraged to deposit data in a recognised public repository and cite it in the article.
- Where data cannot be made public for reasons of privacy, law or ownership, authors explain the restriction and how others may request access.
- Data involving people must be de-identified and shared only within the limits of the consent given.
- Editors and reviewers may ask to see the underlying data during review.
For data involving people, see also Ethical Approvals and Informed Consent.
