International Journal of Law Review
peer-reviewed titles across every discipline, from flagship journals to focused specialist publications.
Peer Review Policy
Every research and review manuscript submitted to International Journal of Law Review is peer reviewed before a decision is made.
Model
The journal uses double-blind review: reviewers do not know who the authors are, and authors do not know who reviewed their work. Each manuscript that passes the editor's initial screening is sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the subject.
What reviewers assess
- Originality and relevance to the journal's scope
- Soundness of the methods and analysis
- Whether the conclusions follow from the evidence
- Clarity of writing, figures and tables
- Ethical conduct and adequate referencing
Decisions
The editor decides to accept, ask for minor or major revision, or reject, taking the reviewers' reports into account. Authors receive the reports with the decision. Editors and reviewers with a conflict of interest take no part in handling the manuscript.
The steps are set out in the Peer Review Process.
