International Journal of Life Sciences and Biotechnology
peer-reviewed titles across every discipline, from flagship journals to focused specialist publications.
Plagiarism Policy
International Journal of Life Sciences and Biotechnology does not accept plagiarism in any form.
What counts as plagiarism
- Copying text, ideas, data or images from another source without credit
- Close paraphrasing that presents another person's work as one's own
- Reusing substantial parts of one's own published work without saying so
- Submitting the same work to more than one journal
Screening
Every manuscript is checked with iThenticate for similarity to published work before peer review. The similarity report is read in context by the editor; a number alone does not decide the outcome.
Action
- Minor overlap: the manuscript is returned to the authors for correction and proper citation.
- Substantial overlap: the manuscript is rejected.
- Plagiarism found after publication: the article is corrected or retracted under Corrections and Retractions, and the authors' institution may be told.
