Peer Review Process
The peer review of a manuscript at International Journal of Orthopedic Research and Surgery follows these steps.
- The editor screens the submission for scope, completeness and basic quality. Manuscripts that are clearly unsuitable are returned without review.
- The text is checked for similarity to published work with iThenticate.
- The editor invites at least two independent reviewers. Identities are hidden in both directions.
- Reviewers submit their reports and recommendations.
- The editor makes a decision and sends it to the author with the reports.
- If revision is requested, the author responds point by point and resubmits. The revised version may go back to the reviewers.
- The editor makes the final decision.
Authors who disagree with a decision may appeal; see Complaints and Appeals. The principles behind the process are in the Peer Review Policy.
Before submitting, see the Author Guidelines and the Plagiarism Policy.
