English Language Editing
Manuscripts for International Journal of Marine Biology & Marine Living Resources must be written in clear English so that editors and reviewers can assess the work itself.
- Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have the manuscript read by a fluent colleague or a professional editing service before submission.
- Poor language alone is not a reason for rejection, but a manuscript may be returned for language revision before review if it cannot be understood.
- The journal offers optional language editing for accepted manuscripts, charged separately; see Article Processing Charges.
- Using an editing service does not affect the editorial decision and does not guarantee acceptance.
If an AI tool was used to improve the language, say so in the manuscript, as required by the Generative AI Policy.
